Now, when looking at online ads on your mobile, wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to jot a number down because your £350 or more smartphone doesn’t multi task or having to copy and paste it into a contact to call them? It would make life so much simpler if you could just click a number at the bottom of the ad to call the company, I think we could all agree with that. Well Google have done exactly that!
Not to mention the increases in customers for the company that is advertising, well if it's easier t see and call the company direct from seeing the ad, much more people will actually make the effort to call. In this day and age, sometimes we just want what we want as fast as possible and you can’t get much faster than that. If it gets into your line of vision first, chances are you will go with that one
It doesn’t stop there, oh no. Google have done the ads based on location, so if you call up a company, it will be your nearest branch, a company based in your area, or the restaurant in your city rather than somewhere else. Not only is it easy to use and gets to you first with the smallest amount of effort input requirement ever, but it will be in your local area too.
Now if that isn’t the best, most innovative campaign I have ever heard of. Chances are they won't just be randomly splattered around the web but also down the side of the Google page in the ad section, making them impossible to miss. Beta trials of this saw the advertising business get much more customers than ever, and made click-through-rates soar through the roof. I would have never ever seen that coming! (Me, sarcastic? Never.)
These are going to be very popular when they are released, so the extraordinary Google team have come up with yet another amazingly successful idea. Well done.
