Finally a Joomla! tutorial that shows you how to embed a video from an embed code (found on online streaming video players, Youtube embed codes found down the right hand side, etc.) on our version of Joomla! that has the bug that messes around with the video link. If you just watch the video and follow it step by step and you will be able to embed a working video yourself.

This Joomla! tutorial is a little longer than the others but it is a more complex one. This tutorial covers advanced article editing, including hyperlinks, picture formatting and the ‘Read more…’ link, which I mentioned we would have on the way.

Well it's all here, but pay extra attention to the part when the appearances tab is mentioned in the picture formatting section of the tutorial. And if you watch closely when the picture is being inserted, the tutorial will tell you which button you need to press to upload a picture too. This is another Joomla! short video tutorial, as was promised in the article uploading tutorial, which will show you how to insert a picture on an article. No read more section tutorial yet, but we will have one posted very soon.

Remember to pay attention when it mentions vertical and horizontal space, this is also referred to as padding and affects the amount of space between the wrapped text and the photos, you may need to fine tune this and add a few blank lines in-between the text to get things looking how you want them to…

Here is a short and simple video tutorial for uploading new articles on the Joomla! open source CMS version 1.5. This is the version that we currently use. It does not show how to add pictures or a read more cut off section, but you can find that out in one of our next tutorials. This one is just the basic article publishing, but small steps make it easier to learn. It covers how to select categories, use the filter to view the other articles in the sections, and how to publish the article. Just watch the video below…
